London, U.K, 12th January, 2023: The climate data not-for-profit TransitionZero has grown its operations function, building up the back-office to support the steady growth of the rest of the organisation, as the startup begins its third year.

The climate analytics not-for-profit is excited to announce the appointment of:

  • Hristina Petkova as Head of Operations to lead compliance and regulatory functions for TransitionZero and to oversee day-to-day operations such as HR and financial processes. Hristina has been promoted after joining the organisation in early 2022 as an Operations Manager. Previously, Hristina was Operations Officer at the European Leadership Network. Prior to switching careers, Hristina worked as a litigation paralegal; she studied Law at Queen Mary University of London.

  • Emily Anshaw as People & Operations Coordinator to lead the HR function, including people development and internal culture, as well as supporting Hristina with day-to-day operations. Before joining the team, Emily supported business functions at Salama Fikira in Hong Kong, and initially started her career in the television and film industry.

  • Alisha Tuladhar as Financial Controller to manage the financial side of the organisation, including developing budgets, tracking grant expenditure, and producing regular financial reports for the CEO and Board of Trustees. Before joining TransitionZero, Alisha was Regional Finance Manager for a regional intergovernmental organisation for 7 years, and then more recently worked for a London company as a Financial Controller where she strengthened the financial control systems.

Matt Gray, Co-founder and CEO of TransitionZero commented on the appointments:

“Strengthening our operations functions is critical as TransitionZero enters its next phase of growth. We’ve recently been conducting a major hiring drive to grow our tech team, and all this growth requires back-office support. We simply couldn’t do our work without the vital support of operations, HR and finance. Hristina and Emily have already made a huge contribution to the team’s development since they joined last year, and Alisha is hitting the ground running to improve our financial management”.
