Launch Webinar: Coal refinancing in the Philippines with TransitionZero's CAT Tool

The Philippines is at a tipping point in its energy transition. In September 2023, the Philippine government unveiled its Philippine Energy Transition Plan (PETP), outlining four strategic initiatives aimed at increasing investment for an affordable, reliable, and clean power system in the country. The voluntary retirement and/or repurposing of coal plants is among its focus areas. With extended blackouts in some parts of the country due to forced coal plant outages tripping the system in the first week of 2024, an organised and rapid energy transition is a clear priority.

Join TransitionZero's webinar presenting new data from its Coal Asset Tracker (CAT) tool for the Philippines and hear from leading experts on why a holistic transition and coal retirement mechanisms will need to be backed by data to account for the diverse stakeholders and the varied levels of reliability and profitability of coal assets in the country.
